Ken Evoy Defends Site Build it as a Scam
In a movement to argue whether Site Build it is a scam or whether Site Build it is the best alternative to make money online. Ken Evoy President of Sitesell responds to Lis blog post of “Site Build it Scam Review” The article lays the grounds for why she thinks SBI is a scam and how the sales techniques for the product are another form of taking advantage of individuals with limited experience in the world of technology regarding building websites. The site build it program offers a hefty $75.00 for affiliate sales which would promote most marketers to flog the hell out of it without a care in the world whether the person buying the program could really succeed online with SBI our without consideration on whether they may have hurt someone. I just hope people purchasing this product receive help when they have site build it problems
The problem is this program has been around long enough that some dissenting views should easily be found. Steve Evoy compares his product the days of Google, Apple etc. However, anytime someone purchase a new product from these giants you find why you should buy the program and why you shouldn’t.
During the writing of this post there is not currently more than a couple of sites detailing why SBI is a scam or how they have made allot of money. I have not reviewed whether SBI is a scam. However, the author of “site Build it Scam Review made a statement that Kevin Evoy did respond to when replying directly to the SBI scam article. Here was my first caution flag when reading the article and I came across this statement “You pay them a heafty fee- PER SITE - around $300 ANNUALLY”. That was my first warning flag that came to my head. If you are looking for a hosting you should only be paying $11.00 a month( rounded up) for hosting at the highest if you have multiple sites. That monthly payment is high and allows for multiple domains to be hosted. I just purchased a brand spanking new domain the other day for $9.99. I could have purchased a cheaper domain for $.99.
Lets look at the $$. Hosting= 11.00\mth, domain purchase a new .com domain $9.99(@godaddy). Lets run the numbers. $11.00x 12 months=$132.00 for hosting + $9.99 for a dot com domain purchase =$141.99 to buy a domain and have hosting account that is shared and allows multiple domain hosting. Meaning you can put as many websites on your account as you want. SBI or Site Build it offers $300.00 annually PER SITE versus $141.00 annually for as many sites or domains you want to purchase. Yeah SBI or site builder looks like a scam in my eyes. However, I have heard affiliate promoters like SBI because it acts great CMS ( content management software or system) and it pays 75.00 each time they sell one. Additional downfall, it does require use of a flat proprietary database which does not appear to be what is quickly becoming a industry standard for CMS used with blog templates such as wordpress, joomla , mambo drupal pHpBB . This causes me great concern, it reminds me of upgranding old MS windows to have half the software I purchased not work anymore. In addition to these concerns the comments on '"how to make money online" recently have me concerned. Reviewing different sites I read Comments such as:
“most people don't use SBI to build niche sites--they use SBI to build IM sites pushing SBI as their main product.”
“Thank God and Griz. You saved me 300 bucks a year”
“ was a former SBI owner five years ago and think that this product was a pretty good product for the era of time it was created. Fast forward to Wordpress, Squidoo, Blogger, Weebly, the list goes on. This type of website platform is no longer a necessity for anyone who want to set up an online business or have an online presence. “
“the $75 residual affiliate program pretty much obliterates the objective reviews.”
